SUTRO produces 750 cases of Bordeaux Varietal wines annually: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. Our philosophy of minimal intervention winemaking combined with restrained use of new oak allows the volcanic terroir to shine through in the glass. Complex aromas, elegant tannins and racy acidity are hallmark attributes for SUTRO. Founded by Alice Warnecke Sutro in 2012, we source grapes exclusively farmed by Alice’s family at Warnecke Ranch and Vineyard located on Chalk Hill Road in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County. Alice is the first in her family to produce vineyard designated estate wines from this unique terroir.
