Switch Architecture

Switch Architecture, LLC, is a Colorado-based consulting business founded in 2017. Our team is small — it’s just Wesley Kennedy and Dylan Finney who serve as Principal Engineer and Principal Architect. We love data — the integrations that move it, the databases that store and query it, and the analytics platforms and tools that serve it. We’re hands-on and the ones doing all the work with every project we take on. We have a strong history of self-direction on complex projects and bring the ability to self-organize and ramp up quickly using proven patterns, processes, and frameworks. Our capabilities and experience extend beyond database and data warehouse development. We build responsive web applications, business tools, automations, and APIs using technologies like .NET (C#), Python, React, and JavaScript, and leverage services in the cloud like Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, and Azure App Services. We founded Switch Architecture to provide customers with a way to access expert data warehouse architects, database developers, software developers, and integration developers without having to spend months recruiting, interviewing, and competing for the best people. As technology leaders responsible for hiring, we saw the constant effort being spent on recruiting and the risk it brought if leadership was not able to add the right people to the team at the right time. We offer several contract models that allow you to access us as fractional resources in a way that best fits your team’s needs. Many of our engagements can be best described as "rescue" projects — initiatives that have fallen behind schedule, exceeded their budget, or are at risk of failure. These engagements typically begin as a comprehensive code review to help stakeholders get clarity on exactly what has been delivered and what actually remains to be done. In most cases, Switch Architecture can leverage our experience to help bring the project over the finish line in an expedited manner.
