Symbiont, a Mead & Hunt Company, is a nationally recognized engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm. Founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1981, we have grown steadily in size, offerings, and geography. In 2022, Symbiont joined forces with Mead & Hunt, a full-service, national engineering, planning, and architecture firm, to obtain a larger platform to serve current and future clients. Founded in 1900, Mead & Hunt has been serving diverse markets nationwide for more than 120 years. Our core business includes several key markets, including water/wastewater, food and beverage, renewable natural gas, federal, and state and local government. We have more than 1,200 team members, located in more than 40 offices nationwide, including a fabrication shop that preassembles engineered equipment and ships to sites across the nation. Our full-service team includes engineers, hydrogeologists, architects, construction project managers, environmental compliance specialists, GIS analysts, and technicians. Through the application of innovative design principles and specialized engineering, we plan, design, and build engineered solutions that bring value to our clients, advance their operations, and help achieve their sustainability goals.
