TactiScan

TactiScan, powered by Spectral Engines sensor technology, is a pocket-sized narcotics screener for police patrols bringing new levels of safety and efficiency to police field work. TactiScan allows police officers to detect the most commonly used illicit narcotics onsite without officer exposure. No chemicals or sample preparation is needed. At the core of the TactiScan narcotics scanner is a Spectral Engines’ Near Infrared (NIR) spectral sensing module combined with scalable mobile and cloud connectivity to enable fast mass data management. TactiScan is a new product and business area of Spectral Engines – an award-winning innovator known for the development and production of groundbreaking smart sensor technologies. Spectral Engines develops spectroscopic devices, smart sensors and advanced pocket-size analyzers and provides the tools for material sensing in a variety of applications. The technology originates from years of research done at Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT).
