Takao Foundation

We are a charitable organization working with a diverse number of partners to effect change for the good of marginalized women in fishing communities. We champion, catalyze, and help coordinate the many-pronged strategies that are needed throughout the region to bring about significant results for marginalized women. We do not claim to have all the answers alone; our job is to make sure that everyone else who needs to be part of the answer gets to be involved. We believe that big as some of the problems in our world may be, it is possible to make serious, long-term changes for good. But it requires new thinking, new rigor in planning and execution, and new levels of collaboration. We seek to be part of the answer. We achieve results through health equity, legal aid and societal inclusion. We fight against religious discrimination while advancing the rights of our beneficiaries.
