Texas A&M Emergency Care Team is a recognized student organization at Texas A&M University that provides first aid education and training to the Texas A&M student body and the Bryan/College Station community.
TAMECT provides our members with detailed first aid education as well as American Heart Association certifications for both Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and Heartsaver First Aid. TAMECT also brings in a variety of healthcare speakers during meetings, hosts alumni panels, tours of fire departments, etc. In addition to the education and training we provide, our members also have the opportunity to work alongside the EMTs of TAMU EMS in providing patient care at a variety of events that these EMTs staff. Examples of the events our Care Teamers help staff are first aid stations at football games, events/intramurals at Penberthy, March to the Brazos, and more.
