About TEACH-LA TEACH-LA is a groundbreaking workforce development initiative designed to solve pressing issues in the education industry: grow the Early Childhood workforce and provide a living wage career path. Our program focuses on preparing educators in Los Angeles County to teach and nurture children between the ages of 18 months and 4 years old. By providing educational opportunities, on-the-job work experience, and a supportive community; TEACH-LA empowers aspiring teachers to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners. TEACH-LA was seeded by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services to provide a career entry program for low-income individuals into the education industry. Policy and program development is provided by Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment (PACE), a community development non-profit created in 1976 that serves more than 40,000 low-income Angelenos each year.
