TEAM 1.618

TEAM 1.618 is the Official Hybrid Vehicle Racing Team of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. The Team was founded on 14th August 2014 & is a multi-disciplinary group of engineering & technology students, from different branches of engineering namely Automobile, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer Science and Electronics. The team is guided and mentored by faculty advisors of the institute. The team designs and fabricates a Hybrid race car powered by an internal combustion engine as well as electric motor under the Formula Student regulations to compete with other teams all over the country. Team has participated in reputed international events such as Formula Student UK as well as won National Championship of Hybrid Vehicle Challenge (now known as Formula Imperial).
