Team Buddy Buckets, is a 509(a) (2) Non-Profit Foundation organized for the purpose of investing in the dynamic leadership potential of student-athletes with intentional considerations for the disadvantaged and underserved: We TeamUp with Caring Influencers in our communities to serve and provide Leadership, Life Skills and Talent Development programs that educate, equip, and enhance student-athletes performance on the court of competition, in the classrooms of education and in OUR respective communities. The Team Buddy Buckets story is an extension of Buddy Hield's story! But, it’s about a whole lot more than basketball! Buddy Hield knows about being a disadvantaged youth growing up in a single parent home. Buddy knows the struggle of poverty and what it’s like to have to boil water to take a warm bath every morning. He knows what it’s like to grow up in a rough neighborhood with conflict and drug dealers on the corner. Buddy also knows that positive influences fuel the hard work and good choices that made a difference in his life! Buddy also knows the value of the Assist! That’s why he led the the way in founding and investing in the Team Buddy Buckets Foundation, a not-for-profit Public Charity that employs the passion and popularity of the sport of basketball to be a Difference Maker in our communities. The Team Buddy Bucket mission is to connect, engage, influence and invest in youth by providing enhanced educational support services for student-athletes with a focus and heart for the the underserved. We provide developmental programming that enriches, educates, equips, and enhances performance in the classroom, on the court of competition, and in the youth’s respective communities. By strategically engaging young students in their passion for sports, we connect and build relationships while aiming to provide support services to enhance their education, health, and quality of life.
