TEDxUCincinnati was founded at the University of Cincinnati to spread ideas and inspire students, faculty,
alumni, and the surrounding community. We are a student organization working to plan, provide and
continually bring a TEDx event to the University of Cincinnati each year. We want to ignite passions within our
student body by providing prominent events, a network of like-minded TEDsters, and a culture of innovation.
TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today
covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages through
nonprofit events. Independently run TEDx events share ideas in communities around the world.
