Textiles Untangled is a workshop created by Green Donut. For our French version, check out La Fresque du Textile!
Textiles are everywhere! In our clothing, furniture, toys and even computers! Did you know that sewing seams is almost always done by hand? Or that a large percentage of our donated clothing ends up in open landfills in the Global South?
This collaborative workshop give a bird's eye view of the textile industry and it social and environmental impacts. After getting the big picture, you will then work together to brainstorm actions you can take to change the system for the better!
This workshop is inspired by the pedogogy of the Climate Fresk (a card game and interactive workshop that teaches the IPCC Climate report). Plus has some new twists! Experience this unique way of learning, if you are new to the Fresk universe of workshops. Launched in 2021, Textiles UnTangled has been enjoyed by over 900 participants.
