Teach For India U.S. is a registered 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization that is bridging the education divide. Our mission is to eliminate educational inequity in India by providing grants to mission-aligned organizations that create a movement of educational leaders and excellent teachers, paving the way to a brighter future for all children.
Our leading grant partner, Teach for India, runs a 2 year fellowship program, and currently has over 1,000 Fellows teaching 28,000 Students in 8 cities in under-resourced schools- all working to narrow the education gap. The 4,000+ Alumni, responsible for starting over 150+ changemaking organizations or their own, positively impact 50 million children - that's 1 in 10 children in India. Additionally, programs like TFIx help incubate education entrepreneurs across India who aspire to serve vulnerable children in their regions, expanding TFI's reach to rural parts all over India.
