The Commerce Inn

The Commerce Inn is a neighborhood tavern inspired by the history and architecture of old New York and the West Village. Located at the picturesque corner of Commerce and Barrow, the interior design favors Shaker sensibilities and a sense of material honesty — much like the meticulous sourcing of ingredients for a menu steeped in local traditions. The kitchen focuses on fresh, simple and informal early American recipes inspired by vintage cookbooks dating as far back as 1871, served with care and conviviality. The Commerce Inn is the latest project from chefs Jody Williams & Rita Sodi.
