The Decider Skills are CBT MENTAL HEALTH SKILLS THAT ARE EFFECTIVE, FUN, MEMORABLE AND EASY TO USE.
To use at HOME, in EDUCATION, in the WORKPLACE, and in SOCIAL and HEALTH settings.
Our passion is PROACTIVE MENTAL HEALTH and we are working towards all children being taught The Decider Life Skills in schools, because "It is easier to build strong children than to mend broken adults" (Frederick Douglass).
The Decider Skills are evidence based (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy & Dialectical Behaviour Therapy).
Michelle Ayres and Carol Vivyan are experienced Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists and co-creators of The Decider. Carol is also the author and creator of the getselfhelp.co.uk website. We won the British Journal of Nursing Mental Health Nurse of the Year in 2015 for The Decider.
We now have a network of Authorised Trainers throughout the UK and Ireland, who can facilitate 2 day workshops for mental health professionals, and 1 day workshops for The Decider Life Skills as proactive mental health in schools, workplaces, third sector organisations etc.
