The Discovery Programme is an independent archaeological research institute.
We are supported by the Heritage Council and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage and work in collaboration with other public bodies and research institutions.
Over the past thirty years the Discovery Programme has led the way in many innovative approaches to archaeological research in Ireland, particularly in the use of applied technology and interdisciplinary studies.
We recently launched our Strategic Plan for 2025 - 2028
