The Douglas Hyde Gallery of Contemporary Art is a unique public space to see and learn about contemporary art. Since 1978, the gallery has presented the most exciting and inspiring artists' work to audiences in Dublin and beyond. Located in the heart of Dublin City, at the entrance to Trinity College, the gallery is at the centre of a thriving arts and culture scene in the capital. As a commissioning organisation, The Douglas Hyde is known for producing new artworks with artists and presenting that work to audiences for the very first time. Alongside the Exhibitions Programme, an Engagement Programme of events provides multiple opportunities for audiences to explore the ideas and themes in artists' work. The gallery is free to attend and everyone is welcome.
