Welcome to the Environment Centre (tEC). We're an independent charity working with Local Authorities and other funding partners to deliver specialist advice services relating to home energy and the environment.
We’re currently delivering Southampton Healthy Homes on behalf of Southampton City Council, Hitting the Cold Spots on behalf of Hampshire County Council, and the phone advice line for Portsmouth City Council’s Switched On Portsmouth service. These services offer in-depth, one-to-one help for residents who may be finding it hard to keep up with energy bills or maintain a suitably warm home.
In April 2025 we launched My Home Made Better, an advice service for homeowners outside of these audiences, to inspire and motivate residents to feel more confident when making decisions about upgrading their home energy.
Our wider commitment to the environment means we’re well placed to deliver additional sustainability campaigns. We have extensive experience delivering air quality projects in partnership with local authorities and other charities and organisations.
