What is The Esther Project?
The Esther Project provides an online learning platform for women who dream of being more than ordinary and who love the idea of queenship, of being real influencers who change the status quo. Through a variety of development programmes The Esther Project assists students in discovering the beauty in their broken-stories, in understanding their God-given identity, and in gaining the necessary skills and confidence to become modern-day Esther’s.
Who was Esther?
Centuries ago a Jewish girl named Esther was taken into a Persian king’s harem against her will. Despite the hectic competition, Esther gained the king’s favor. She became queen. Esther had a dream to save a people group from annihilation. In time, she realized that as queen she was positioned to influence the king. At risk of her life, she asked him to stop the annihilation. He granted her request and Esther’s dream came true. She was ‘born for such a time’. Bible: Book of Esther.
What is Our Story?
The Esther Project was launched in 2013. Initially, students met weekly in a small group setting. Community workshops were incorporated in 2017. Market research revealed that a fully-fledged development program is needed to truly empower women and that skills training is a vital part of this development. In 2020, the Esther-Identity development program was successfully rolled out and is now ready to go online.
