With 20 years of experience in higher education and nonprofit leadership, she has partnered with tech innovators, public sector leaders, and multinational corporations to create recruiting pipelines and prepare individuals for the complexities of modern professional environments. As the inaugural Director of Employer Engagement at The University of Texas at Austin, Summer provided strategic leadership in employer engagement at local, regional, and global levels. She connected students and alumni with impactful opportunities and facilitated critical conversations on university recruiting trends and workforce development. Summer’s expertise extends to teaching individuals the skills needed to navigate diverse professional settings with confidence. Certified by The Etiquette Institute since 2013, she now serves as an Associate Trainer, delivering customized trainings for early talent and seasoned professionals alike. Her sessions are practical, culturally informed, and tailored to empower individuals to thrive in their careers. A recognized leader, Summer has served as President of the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers (SoACE), representing over 1,800 members across 15 states. She remains active in national organizations such as the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), and Delta Zeta National Sorority. Through her work, Summer combines cross-industry expertise with a passion for helping individuals and organizations excel, offering solutions that prepare them for success in today’s evolving workplace.
