The E-Waste Column

The E-Waste Column company information, Employees & Contact Information

The E-Waste Column is a weekly column about e-waste, transition minerals, and critical raw materials. The column touches on a range of topics including ESG, sustainable development, circular economy, EU law and policymaking, corporate social responsibility, the transition to renewable energy, the EU Green Deal, supply chain due diligence and auditing, human environmental rights, business and human rights, climate law, and corporate sustainability. The column is written by Christine Nikander, who has been doing scholarly research into the legal and policy framework surrounding e-waste and conflict minerals since 2015. In The E-Waste Column, Nikander draws upon her expertise and writes about recent developments in law, policy, and business. The E-Waste Column was featured in The Bloom’s "30 Under 30 Social Impact" list in December 2024. The column is regularly published on Wednesdays at 12PM CET (The Hague) or 6AM EST (New York). Towards the end of each month, we also publish our monthly newsletter called "The E-Waste Newsletter", which frequently features guest contributors. On 1 September 2025, we will be launching the pilot version of The E-Waste Learning Hub and our new app TransitionED, with 85+ short learning modules. Visit our website to learn more.
