Our story began in 1997 when Focus was formed by Michael Donohue. Mike had earlier founded the first anti-bullying project in the UK and went on to launch the Family Assessment and Support Unit (FASU) at the University of Hull.
For this, he was awarded the Queen’s Award to Industry. Exasperated by a system that wasn’t there to support those who needed it most, Focus was formed. Fast-forward to today and Focus now helps thousands of people each year to improve their lives.
We currently provide NHS Talking Therapies, employee wellbeing services, private therapy and training to individuals and companies across Hull, East Yorkshire and beyond.
