The Gupta Partnership

The focus of the Gupta Partnership has been shifting from marketing to corporate bridge-making and from there to servicing power and water utilities under the banner of Gupta Smart Energy. What caused the shift in focus In the past we were known as an international marketing and communications company. Then clients began to draw us into the business of seeding all-new low carbon technologies which could disrupt entire markets. Sustainable transport, renewable energy, smart cities, LED lighting - these are all areas where we have helped innovators to bring their products to market. In 2019 we successfully obtained the UK validation of a new and unique power quality technology from Norway and negotiated the exclusive distribution contract for the UK and Ireland on a 5-year rolling basis. The Norwegian connection With the vast increase in EV penetration and the use of renewable energy sources, we recognised that there will be a rapidly growing need for this technology. Norway's experience is ten years ahead of other markets in this field, so we made a decision to focus on bringing this proof of concept to the UK where power and water utilities as well as heavy manufacturing companies are starting to experience serious power quality issues.
