The Kick Project (TKP) is a dynamic global non-profit development organization, currently headquartered in Finland, with roots in Australia. We harness the power of sport, play and creative expression to drive meaningful change in communities facing challenges. Our mission is grounded in fostering lasting legacies of peace, resilience, and social cohesion—always infused with the joy and connection that sport and play naturally brings. At TKP, we believe the most enduring and inclusive communities are built from the child up. By engaging and empowering young people, we help communities break cycles of violence, discrimination, and poverty—paving the way for a more fair and equitable future. While sport is our core vehicle for change, our approach is flexible and culturally sensitive. In some regions, particularly where cultural norms restrict participation in certain sports, we embrace alternative options to ensure girls and marginalized groups are actively included. Our approach is collaborative and tailored. We identify communities we can meaningfully support, then co-create or strengthen programs that align with their unique needs and our shared vision for progress. Every initiative is designed to amplify the inherent strengths of young people—enabling them to overcome barriers, build connections, and thrive.
