The Medi offers a virtual resource center dedicated to helping social service organizations develop a culture of collaboration through education and use of technology. Our goal is to connect people in need in our communities to social services, using technology to exchange social service information. This exchange is not only efficient but more importantly is safer, timelier, effective, equitable, and person-centered.
We also disseminate information to our communities about healthcare resources and under-served populations, often centering on the social determinants of health. For instance, in 2020 our MEDI MONDAYS radio show, airing weekly on WJNI Gospel Radio 106.3 FM in Charleston, SC and online, broadcast interviews with respected experts with up-to-the-minute updates about COVID-19 and how it was affecting under-served populations; in 2021, our MEDI MONDAYS continued to cover COVID-19 but also covered broader issues relating to social determinants of health.
