About The Preparedness Project
Traditional financial planning is difficult enough. Trying to plan for your financial future while planning for the needs of a child with a severe mental illness makes the job all the more complicated. Led by Paul Peeler of Integrated Financial Group, The Preparedness Project is our effort to help. For families that participate in The Preparedness Project, we will provide a full financial analysis (including in the areas of cash flow planning, goal planning, retirement planning, estate planning, tax planning, investment advisory, insurance planning, risk management, education planning, charitable planning, debt planning, employer benefits, and more) and specific planning recommendations that you can implement on your own or with the intermediary/advisor of your choice. We don’t want cost to be an obstacle for families dealing with an SMI in getting financial planning and guidance, and have set a goal of helping 500 such families. However, we do not offer this for free, as we believe that people value things more when they have skin in the game. With this in mind, the cost to participate in The Preparedness Project is $50. This fee will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. Learn more at www.PreparednessProject.org
