Our founder Kimberley Normoyle is a CPA who previously conducted audits for the Candian government. She has a keen financial eye that is aligned with the requirements of the private capital funds we work with. After an initial call to discuss in more detail our funding process, Kimberley will review your deck/executive summary, 5-year proforma, financials (if available), and detailed use of funds. Upon completion of the review, she will submit your funding request to several Funding Sources who she has identified, and they have expressed interest in the funding opportunity. Kimberley will schedule meetings between you and the mandate of the fund(s). During these meetings, initial negotiations between the two parties occur, and both parties discuss and work towards agreeing on terms, with the goal of producing an engagement letter. After reviewing the engagement letter if both parties agree to proceed you will be responsible for the financial cost ‘working fees’ of underwriting your portion of the agreement. This is not an upfront fee, and no portion is paid to Maple Virtual Solutions. An estimate of the ‘working fees’ that you would be responsible for can be discussed in more detail during the initial call.
