The Beyond Project

Inspiring & Empowering Lives of those in need through Beauty & Wellness. The Beyond Project is a dynamic coalition of volunteers who apply their beauty and wellness knowledge to charity events that use beauty to inspire and empower those who need it most, creating social impact through what we do best. We connect industry professionals to non-profit agencies in order to provide mobile beauty and wellness resources to those in need. We are bridging the missing gap of providing these mobile services to underprivileged individuals that include haircuts, makeup, nails, fitness and more. We partner with nonprofit agencies that include those impacted by sex trafficking, domestic violence, at-risk youth, teen moms, homelessness, foster families and more. We are committed to the collaboration of communities working together to restore worth, value and hope while providing professionals with an outlet to use their talents for good. We officially launched Beyond Projects September 2015 we have served over 2000 individuals including men, women and children with over 3500 haircuts and other beauty services, with over 400 volunteers, and we worked with over 20 nonprofit agencies partners. Each month we have 4-5 Beyond Projects that are fulfilling our mission. In 2016 & 2017 we partnered with United Way’s annual Community Resource Day we provided over 625 haircuts to individuals facing homelessness with over 90 hairstylist volunteers! We launched The Beyond Project Los Angeles in September 2016 and partnered with LA Youth Network and Freedom & Fashion. The Beyond Project is 100% volunteer run and operated to date. We continue to recognize this need as one we want to meet in our communities and we can do it with YOUR HELP. We are working to raise awareness and funds to expand and reach more individuals. We believe that it is time to give dignity and hope for the future to those in our community who are in need of these services.
