Flow Foundation SA was founded by like-minded, heart-centric individuals who believe that early childhood education is paramount to rural and disadvantaged children in South Africa. We believe that education is the key to eradicating the poverty cycle and that it is the only way to truly uplift a community from long-term unemployment and the associated socio-economic struggle associated with this.
Our Co-Founders do not earn a salary or any income from our fund-raising efforts. We give of our time, expertise and resources freely in order to help develop sustainable Early Childhood Development Centers and to provide support to the existing ECD's in disadvantaged and rural communities.
The Co-Founders of Flow Foundation SA are Rex Schelling, Bonnie Bester, Jane Worthington-Fitnum, Ursula Forrest, David Loebenstein and Martin Commeford.

OUR PURPOSE
A child’s formative years present the best window of opportunity to secure good outcomes later in life. Many young children in South Africa do not have access to the nutrition, health, education and social protection components they need to reach their development potential. Which is why we started the FLOW Foundation. FLOW stands for Faith. Love. Opportunity. Wisdom. Our mission is to help develop self-sustaining early child development (ECD) centres that provide the foundation for resilient, stable and healthy children.
WHAT WE DO
DEPENDING ON THE NATURE OF THE PROJECT, OUR INVOLVEMENT MUGHT INCLUDE:
Providing a full turn-key build solution for ECD’s
Facilitating teachers’ / Principals’ training to facilitate age appropriate learning
Providing basic business training to ECD Principal/Owner
Facilitating proper nutrition using own-grown vegetables
Encouraging regular communication feedback between the ECD and parents/guardians
Creating a platform for NPC and Community Stakeholders and other interested parties for open and transparent processes for the overall benefit of the community.
