Our signature program Stay To Lead is a global female talent advancement & retention experience where over 500+ women at multinational companies have participated. Joan's workshops are inspired by the concepts in her book, Dig Your Heels In. After 14 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Joan launched her company to raise awareness about the value of investing in the early career workforce and build inclusive workplace cultures. She is an advisor to top Business Schools like Columbia, MIT, Yale and University of North Carolina to increase the representation of female MBAs and strengthen inclusivity within campus culture. The curricula of topics covered in Stay To Lead include creating boundaries and overcoming internal (Imposter Syndrome, Perfectionism and Curse of the Good Girl) and systemic barriers (workplace overwork epidemic and biased leadership behaviors), advancing gender equity in the workplace and in the home (Fair Play Method). We discuss burnout and the never-ending demands of the second shift and overwork culture. Stay To Lead is a 2-day virtual experience hosted across the 3 different time zones where I work with women all over the world in small group cohorts of ~15 from different functions in the same global organization OR different companies in the same industry (I.e. finance, healthcare, retail, sports). We also lead manager workshops and executive retreats (online + in person) to discuss the leadership imperative for retaining and advancing women, understanding the barriers day to day and investing in culture changing programs, benefits and education.
