The Media Lab

The Media Lab is a community-interest organization dedicated to bridging the widening gap between the media and the public. With a strong focus on youth, women, and the transformative power of neuroscience, The Media Lab explores what drives audience connection, engagement, and sustained interest in news and information. Through research and development, AI-driven impact assessments, listening campaigns, innovation labs, capacity building, and creative experimentation, we investigate how media can better resonate with diverse audiences. Curious by design and driven by insight, The Media Lab generates bold ideas, practical recommendations, and strategic solutions to rebuild trust and reimagine the relationship between the media and the public. We carry this out through interdisciplinary projects grounded in four pillars: 1-Capacity development 2-Research 3-Consultancy 4-Intelligent assessment tools By deploying custom tools and working with journalists, media professionals and psychologists, we examine up to six media dimensions and 35 indicators to better understand audience behaviour.
