Therapy Ranch was born from a passion for public health, accessible and effective mental health care, and horses. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we provide mental health interventions and learning experiences through Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL).
Since 2019, Therapy Ranch has offered a safe space for youth and adults in Metro Detroit and the surrounding communities, to work toward decreasing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other conditions, while increasing feelings of confidence, self-awareness, mindfulness, connection with others, and more.
Most sessions are held at Stillwater Stables & Stays in Ortonville, MI, and utilize at least one horse, a certified mental health professional, and an Eagala-certified equine specialist. Through increased access, awareness, and destigmatization, we aim to continue revolutionizing how people approach mental health and assisting in the personal journey of growth and transformation.
