THE WOODPECKER PROJECT charity has been set up as a way for people to challenge themselves by doing physical activities to prove how strong they can be.
From ‘Burpee Up Ben Nevis’ to running a 5km, we aim to raise awareness of mental health using different challenges.
THE WOODPECKER PROJECT:
EDUCATE – We arrange for individuals to be trained in Mental Health First Aid.
EMPOWER – We show people the power of exercise, showing them who will benefit and how much their bravery can inspire someone else.
ENCOURAGE – Nothing gets a conversation started quite like “why are you doing that challenge?”. This opens the door to start conversations and raise awareness around Mental Health.
