Founded by an academic and a psychologist, THINK&Co. offers a variety of learning and tutoring services for children ages 2+ in our community, working tirelessly on creating a bridge between education and the most pertinent factors of your child’s learning and development, such as psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, emotional and social identity, and more. Each tutor is trained in these factors, as well as our company-specific teaching approaches, prior to working with our students. Run by founder Shira Shvartsman, each student undergoes an assessment of personality, interested, academic strengths and weakness, and more, to decide which tutor is the best fit to work with your child. Through hands-on lessons, personalized programs, fun and rewarding activities, and a fight for success, working with a THINKtutor is one of the most efficient ways to assure your child not only succeeds academically, but enjoys the process a bit (or a lot) more! More about Shira: Shira Shvartsman comes from an educational and linguistic background. She worked as a private tutor for years before creating the concept for THINK&Co. She holds a Masters degree in Linguistics from Hofstra University and is currently a graduate student at Columbia University in the Education of Lingusitics program. She has conducted and published research on child language acquisition and is continuously working on her literacy teaching approach, utilized as the main teaching approach at THINK&Co. Her work also delves into community outreach, and she holds personal relationships with the parents and families of THINK&Co. students, THINKsters.
