Thomas Storey is one of the largest privately owned suppliers of steel fabricated products in the UK. Customers range from multi-national OEMs to small start-ups. Established in Stockport in the 1930's, Storeys first became famous as original manufacturers of the unit construction “Bailey Bridge” system, a product first used by Allied forces during the second world war and praised by both British and American Generals as playing a key role in the successful invasion of Europe. We offer many different services such as, profiling, press baking, fabrication, finishing and assembly techniques, we can assist in design manufacturing, and we also have the technical and quality capabilities. In-house we benefit from a six-sigma black-belt, two CSWIP Welding Inspectors and various ‘Lean Leaders’ so ensuring that all projects are constantly re-assessed for improvements which generates savings in both cost and time.
