EMPOWERING PEOPLE TO THRIVE BEYOND TRAUMA TO LEAD SUCCESSFUL AND PRODUCTIVE LIVES As an accredited mental health clinician, academic, manager, keynote speaker, trainer and author of “Thrive Beyond Traumas: a guide for trauma workers and their managers,” I provide supervision, mentoring, coaching, consulting and training to individuals, trauma teams and their organisations. From my experience, I’ve seen several key problems in trauma service organisations: staff management issues; insufficient staff training on trauma related services; and challenges obtaining funds for services and programs. Thrive Beyond Trauma was founded to solve the following and other problems: 1. Help trauma workers and clinicians achieve a better work/life balance, feel valued, manage client workloads without becoming overwhelmed. 2. Provide in-depth evaluations of trauma services with the goal to improve funding for services and programs. 3. Deliver tailored trauma training for teams to reduce the impact of trauma work on the team. I have worked locally, nationally and internationally for government and non-government organisations in the fields of institutional abuse; refugee health; missing persons; domestic violence; sexual violence; life-threatening illness and veteran mental health. From my over 30 years experience, I understand the impacts of trauma work on individuals, families, communities and organisations.
