The Thurman Perry Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission of offering direct financial assistance, essential public health resources, and educational resources to at least 10,000 women & girls impacted by incarceration nationwide by the year 2030. Through The Perry ‘Second Chances’ Scholarship, an annual scholarship award for currently incarcerated women, formerly incarcerated women, and the daughters of both demographics, we ensure every woman and girl has a chance to thrive and succeed. Our Girl Code initiative stands alone nationally as a public health program for incarcerated women to promote menstrual equity and eliminate period poverty.
