Tim 'Rosso' Ross

Tim 'Rosso' Ross is an award winning comedian, design enthusiast, presenter and writer. Tim began his career performing stand-up comedy as part of the comedy duo Merrick and Rosso. More recently he is best known for his passion for architecture and design, presenting the award winning ABC TV series Streets of Your Town, which quickly became the most watched arts program on the ABC for the year. Over the last six years, he has performed his live Man About the House show exclusively in architecturally-significant buildings and homes that he turns into temporary theatres. Internationally, the show has performed as part of Modernism Week in Palm Springs and the London Festival of Architecture, where it was included in the ‘must see’ events by the New York Times. Tim has passionately supported the architecture industry, with particular focus on fighting alongside the community on the ‘Save Our Sirius’ campaign. In 2018 Ross was awarded the National Trust Heritage Award for Advocacy, for his activism on modernist architecture and promoting its conservation. Tim recently spoke at the opening of the London Design Museum, gave the Heritage Council Address and was a keynote speaker at the Culture of Lates Symposium in London. Tim Ross, with his quick wit and ability to read and control a room, is regularly invited to present and MC events. Within the architecture and design industry Tim has presented and assisted with numerous events including the Australian Institute of Architects Awards, Building Designers Association National Conference, Glass and Glazing Awards, Houses Awards, Top 50 Rooms, City of Port Phillip Design Awards, VIC Building Designers Association Awards and Caroma Showroom Launch. Tim has embarked on campaign collaborations with IKEA, Samsung, Brickworks, Volkswagen, ING Direct, Bank West, Sony Music, Optus, Breville, Smeg, Foxtel and is a Design Ambassador for RODE Microphones.
