Tumaini La Maisha & Their Lives Matter company information, Employees & Contact Information

'We Are TLM' represents a group of International organisations with a shared vision and mission: to care for children with cancer in Tanzania. Tumaini La Maisha means Hope for Life and is the name of the NGO registered in 2011 in Tanzania with the single focus of providing free and curative care for every child with cancer in the country. Tumaini La Maisha operates from our Hub at Muhimbili National Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Their Lives Matter UK and Ireland are our sister NGOs that support with advocacy and fundraising. At our Hub in Muhimbili Hospital and our growing number of partner centres across Tanzania, we treat hundreds of children with cancer every year. Our vision is for all children with cancer in Tanzania to have access to locally available, high quality, curative and palliative treatment leading to survival outcomes similar to resource rich settings. Everything we provide, from chemotherapy to psychosocial therapies, is completely free of charge for all children and their guardians. We believe that through the power of partnership, our vision can become a reality – together we can! For more information on our organisation please visit www.wearetlm.org. As we get closer to 10 partner sites, to which we provide chemotherapy drugs, oncology and haematology training, transport and supervision among other things, we come closer to reaching each of the estimated 4,000 – 4,500 children who develop cancer every year. To date, we have successful reached approximately 20% of these estimated annual cases. Our goal is to reach 100% of these children by partnering with 30 centres nationwide so that no child is more than a four-hour journey from the care that they require and deserve.
