TMSS is a renowned non-government organization with a rich history of empowering women and driving positive change in Bangladesh and South Asia. Founded in 1964 and reformed by the visionary Prof. Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum, an Ashoka Fellow, in 1980, TMSS has been at the forefront of female-led initiatives to combat poverty, promote women's empowerment, advocate for human rights and social justice, and contribute to sustainable development. Our Commitment: TMSS is a women focused Bangladeshi organization working for alleviation of poverty, Women Empowerment through Skill Training and Micro Credit Support, human rights and social justice, advocacy and campaign, climate change and environment, Disaster Preparedness activities, health and hygiene including total WASH system improvement, improvement of socio-economic status and overall livelihood improvement of Bangladesh to address and contribute towards the achievement of the SDGs. Mission: TMSS provides its best efforts in bringing the poor Women to a better life with dignity in the family and society through their capacity building, adaptability, and responsiveness, optimum use of their own/available resources, participation in development activities, good governance, and establishment of their legitimate rights on a sustainable footing. Goal: Family development through Women Empowerment. Programs and Services: TMSS operates a diverse range of programs and services, including healthcare clinics, hospitals, educational institutions, vocational training centers, agricultural programs, development projects, and microfinance initiatives. These programs aim to provide essential services and empower communities to become self-sufficient. Impact and Reach: Today, TMSS directly and indirectly is involved in the employment of more than 36,000 people and contributing to the betterment of more than 8 million beneficiaries.
