Transalpine Pipeline (TAL)

The Transalpine Pipeline (TAL) is a strategic energy infrastructure spanning 753 kilometers, providing the backbone of the pipeline system connecting the Port of Trieste to refineries in Austria, southern Germany and the Czech Republic. With almost 60 years of operational experience and deep technical expertise, TAL ensures the safe and reliable transport of more than 40 million tons of crude oil annually, meeting the needs of the Central European economy. TAL is operated by three companies: Società Italiana per l’Oleodotto Transalpino S.p.A. in Italy, Transalpine Ölleitung in Österreich Ges.m.b.H. in Austria, and Deutsche Transalpine Ölleitung GmbH in Germany, adhering to the highest safety and environmental standards.
