Transparência Internacional Portugal

Transparency International Portugal is the Portuguese representative for Transparency International, the leading global civil society movement against corruption. TI Portugal’s mission is to contribute to the strengthening of civil society and to improve the quality of public and private sector governance in Portugal by promoting transparency, integrity and accountability. We work in five main areas: 1- Raising awareness of the impacts and economic and social costs of corruption; 2- Research & Development, producing high-quality empirical knowledge on anti-corruption issues; 3- Monitoring of developments in the implementation of international anti-corruption commitments; 4- Lobbying for systemic changes in public policy to foster greater transparency and public integrity; 5- Supporting whistleblowers by providing assistance and legal advice to those wishing to report wrongdoing.
