Tranz Network Uganda (TNU) is a national network dedicated to supporting and advocating for the rights, health, and well-being of transgender and gender-diverse persons in Uganda. Established in 2014, TNU works to strengthen trans-led movements, increase access to justice, and improve health and economic empowerment opportunities.
Through strategic partnerships, advocacy, and direct service provision, we challenge systemic barriers, promote social inclusion, and foster a supportive environment for trans persons. Our key programs focus on:
1. Trans Health & Well-being – Providing healthcare access, mental health support, and SRHR services.
2. Trans Justice & Social Services – Advocacy, legal support, and emergency protection.
3. Trans Resilience & Economic Empowerment – Financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career development.
4. Network Strengthening & Coordination – Building trans-led organizations and leadership.
