Tree Range farms comes out of the lifetime work of Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin, a Guatemalan war survivor, farmer, immigrant, and Lifetime Ashoka Fellow. His efforts have centered on the design and buildout of a truly regenerative and socially equitable poultry production system that goes beyond “free range” and USDA Organic standards. Founded with three like-minded partners, Tree-Range Farms embodies that vision and carries it into the marketplace.
Tree-Range chickens are raised by family farmers under a tree canopy in a diversified agroforestry system that builds soil health, sequesters carbon, and increases biodiversity. Beyond the ESG benefits, published research shows that chickens raised under trees taste better than both conventional and pasture-raised chickens, creating a unique competitive advantage for our products.
We believe we have built a replicable, scalable, cost-competitive model that can replace 1 of the 20 chickens Americans consume every year when fully built out.
