Rita was a passionate patron of the arts, the first in her family to earn a college degree, and a recognized color consultant featured in the New York Times Magazine. With Trigonal, Goodman sought to honor Rita's legacy by embodying her love for fine art and her commitment to cultural education. Trigonal Gallery's mission, to get art into every home, was inspired by the belief that art is an integral cornerstone of culture. Jonathan Edward Goodman, a man who believes a blank wall is a terrible thing, saw the potential in every empty space to become a canvas for artistic expression and cultural enrichment. But the journey was not without its challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of Trigonal's physical gallery, posing a significant threat to the artists who depended on the gallery to sell their artwork. But just like its founder, who was once praised for his adaptability, Trigonal proved it could pivot in the face of adversity. The company shifted its focus towards the digital sphere, emphasizing the promotion and sale of NFTs and supporting artists working in electronic mediums. This transition was a testament to Trigonal's ability to adapt and innovate. Moreover, Trigonal took its support for artists a step further by creating a YouTube channel during the pandemic to showcase artists and their work, providing a platform for them to connect with audiences despite the circumstances. In 2023, Trigonal made another bold move, venturing into the retail market and embracing artificial intelligence-generated art.
