Today, theU.S. Department of Energy (DOE)announced that TRISO-X, a wholly owned subsidiary of X-energy, has been allocated its first tranche of HALEU to meet near-term fuel needs to bring our advanced reactor technology to the market. The allocation is part of X-energy’s participation in DOE’s Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program, and will be delivered in the first core loads of fuel in partnership withDowInc. at their UCC Seadrift Operations manufacturing site on the Texas Gulf Coast. TRISO-X will receive the material for fuel fabrication in the future at its pioneering Oak Ridge, Tennessee, fuel fabrication plant.https://lnkd.in/egZ8FQfm
