The objective of this group is to establish a network of Welfare Support Officers providing Peer Support to colleagues performing frontline work and more importantly, the family behind those colleagues.
This will be achieved through developing a early intervention model focusing on preventing injury through identifying those struggling and getting support to them.
We can offer:
Mental Health Fitness Screening - Self Awareness
Mental Health First Aid Training - Gain the confidence to have those conversations with your colleagues. All courses are run by experienced Emergency Responders.
Trauma Management - Dealing with colleagues following a traumatic incident
Peer Support - Access to other colleagues going through the same issues.
Provide a safe environment to discuss issues without fear of it effecting your job.
Confidentiality is of course non-negotiable within the group.
We also provide financial support by means of reducing household bills and generating funds for colleagues struggling financially
