TROS is an Israeli startup, backed by private investors (including Yossi Vardi). The company has been developing online-trust and social graph-related technologies, and it owns a U.S. patent. The main innovative elements are: 1. the ability to quantify (in "real-time") connections' strength between every two users (nodes) on the social graph, both directly and indirectly connected (up to 4 degrees). 2. the ability to find (in "real time") the strongest "paths" (not necessarily the shortest ones) between all pairs of users. TROS also launched dating-networks (including "meezoog"), based on its trust technology, to exemplify how "social trust" and meaningful paths - could contribute to a safer internet; allowing users to avoid scammers and fake identities, and utilise meaningful connections.
