Texas Taiwanese Biotechnology Association (TTBA)

Despite a large Taiwanese population working in biology-related fields in Texas, there is a lack of a professional organization. To address this need, we established the Texas Taiwanese Biotechnology Association (TTBA), a non-profit organization, in 2014. Through TTBA, we seek to unite Texas Taiwanese working in biology-related fields, including students, postdocs and professionals in both academia and industry. We aim to develop an organization that can serve and represent the Texas Taiwanese biotechnology community, build new connections, and share scientific advances and career opportunities. In addition, we strive to build a network that will connect established successful professionals with early career professionals in order to foster exchange of ideas and practical experience. We further hope to promote new collaborations by bridging the gaps within academic fields and between academia and industry, and contribute to enterprise development.
