About Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Alberta

Serving as Alberta’s only pharmacy school since 1914, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is ranked in the top 32 in the world and top three in Canada. The faculty is home to over 550 undergraduates, 50 graduate students, and a community of 5,279 living alumni. With 65 faculty and staff, 487 preceptors based in 66 communities, and significant collaboration across the university, we work to support professionalism through a focus on excellence in teaching and research across all aspects of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. We prepare our graduates for a variety of careers in pharmacy practice, research, and teaching. Our graduates influence the continuously changing health care field through their leadership in the areas of policy, practice and business.
