UBC's iGEM team harnesses synthetic biology to tackle real-world problems. Interdisciplinary in nature, our team competes at the MIT-founded International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition for the most relevant biological design and experimental results. Our student-lead competitive research team is housed at the University of British Columbia under the department of Microbiology and Immunology.
